Conservation

The second quarter AP Environmental Science project consists of two parts:

  1. A written report on one of the subjects mentioned below or other conservation-related subject. 
  2. A formal presentation to the class on the same subject using whatever visual aids the student prefers (poster board, power point, websites, video clips, iMovie, youtube, etc)


Recommended subjects:

  1. Endangered Species
  2. Sustainable Forestry
  3. Sustainable Fisheries
  4. Biodiversity
  5. Invasive Species
  6. Coral Reefs
  7. The Rain Forests
  8. Climate Change Effects
  9. Habitat Loss
  10. Sustainable Development

Project Alternative

The alternative Q2 Project option is ‘Alternative (Renewable) Energy’ including the following subjects:

  1. Solar Energy
  2. Wind Energy
  3. Hydroelectric Power
  4. Geothermal
  5. Wave Energy
  6. Biomass
  7. Ethanol
  8. Energy from burning Refuse (trash)


Grading Rubric.

   The written report will be graded according to the ‘research paper rubric’ and the presentation will be graded according to the ‘oral presentation rubric’ each available to view at
